Bryan & Mary Cellar Opening Infill
LM Steyer Had the pleasure to take care of this existing cellar entry that had been compromised due to its old age and exterior weather conditions. To accommodate the adjacent driveway and move forward: Construction included the initial demolition/cleanup, followed by infilling the door way with concrete block that was epoxy pinned with 1/2” rebar at every other course along with the installation of dura wire alternating courses. From there the block cores were filled with fine grout followed by the installation of a steel brick lintel. Salvaged brick from the original building was the blended and re-laid in an effort to match the rest of the building. To finish it off, the wall was water proofed, hole backfilled/compacted, and topsoil raked/graded with grass seed and straw spread. Thank you for the opportunity!
